The Mandarin duck is considered one of the top ten most colorful birds. I happened to come across one the other day in Happy Valley Oregon. Here are some of my photos from that session. I will be making more high resolution photos of this Mandarin Duck available to my members. The Mandarin duck is not native to Oregon. It most likely escaped from captivity and made friends with the mallards in a local pond.
