It felt good to bring a baby bunny back from near death. I spent most of the day helping it recover. I found it in my garden in catatonic state and barely breathing. I noticed that it was bleeding from its eye. I think it may have been attacked by an animal. I decided to call the local animal rehab center and I got an answering machine. The rabbit looked so close to death, I decided it probably would not survive a commute across town. I scooped it up and brought it inside. I did not want the neighbor cats, crows, or any other predator to get this helpless little baby rabbit.

I put it in my bathtub with a heater and played therapeutic nature sounds from a YouTube channel on my phone. I turned down the lights and let it be for about 2 hours. This baby rabbit was obviously in pain and very scared. It was making a wheezing sound with each breath. I went to my kitchen and made mixture of amino acids, sugar, liquid chlorophyll, and water. I was able to feed it with the syringe. Once it got a taste of the sweet healthy mixture, it decided to start sucking it up. I did this about 3 times and the rabbit took it in.
For its injured eye, I gave it my soothing homeopathic eye drops. After about an hour its eye was no longer red and seemed to be healing. I brought it back outside and I let it sit in the sun for another half before it got up and started hopping around like a healthy rabbit. I let it go back into my garden to locate its family which I think is under my deck.
I love rabbits so much that I wrote a country song about having one as a pet.

Your tender story and sweet photos are so well paired with your fun song, leaving me uplifted. We also have bunnies in our backyard and feel like little kids each time one is out. We call out to each other, “See the bunny!” and watch and watch.
